In order to bridge the demand and supply gap in skilling industry, the National Skill Development Corporation has joined hands with BetterPlace to come up with a digital platform for addressing the problem of demand aggregation, sourcing, training, certification and placement for the blue collars skilled workforce in the country.
The platform, SkillConnect, will work as a digital bridge to address the gap between demand and supply of blue-collar jobs across India. The idea is to make the platform demand driven so that the training institutes already know the job roles available in the market in a quantifiable manner and train the manpower accordingly.
