For college students looking for summer internships or starting their careers, job searching a tedious, arduous process. Fortunately, Kevin Wu, 23, and Derrick Mar, 24, founded Pathrise to address career management issues for college students.
Pathrise is a career accelerator that helps students get their ideal job, with the students paying the startup a portion of their salary only if they end up getting hired.
The cofounders were a part of Y Combinator’s (YC) Winter 2018 batch, and have gone on to raise $1.2 million from investors such as GoAhead Ventures, LetsVenture, and YC itself.
