Government of India launches Job Board – ncs.gov.in

Government of India has launched a job board called National Career Service (NCS) portal – http://www.ncs.gov.in/
The job board aims to provide jobs to around 20 million job seekers already registered with employment exchanges across India.

Initated by the labour ministry with an investment of over Rs.100 crore and it aspires to be a one-stop solution for job seekers and job providers.
Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India is putting lot of emphasis on providing skills to its huge young manpower.

Currently, more than 44.7 million job seekers are registered with India’s 956 employment exchanges.
Of them, at least 26.88 million are men and women below the age of 29, according to official data.

The NCS will offer registration for job aspirants and employers for free.
It also plans to bring thousands of companies to register on the portal.

The job board in future shall have facilities like job posting, career counseling, aptitude assessment, job matching, skill courses, training providers and guidance

on self-employment and entrepreneurship.
