Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team and ensure the security, integrity, and resilience of our systems and data.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures, identifying potential threats, and responding to security incidents.

You will work closely with our IT, development, and operations teams to develop proactive security strategies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and monitor network activity to prevent unauthorized access.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong technical background, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, policies, and tools to protect systems and data
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
  • Monitor network traffic for security events and respond to incidents promptly
  • Develop and enforce secure coding practices with development teams
  • Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Educate employees on security awareness and best practices

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Security Tools
    Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
  • Network Security
    Strong understanding of network protocols, network security technologies, and architectures
  • Incident Response and Threat Analysis
    Skilled in identifying, assessing, and responding to security incidents and threats
  • Cryptography and Encryption
    Knowledge of data encryption methods and secure key management practices
  • Programming and Scripting
    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security tasks
  • Compliance and Security Standards
    Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices

Preferred Skills:

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+)
  • Experience with cloud security and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools for secure software development
  • Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions, such as Splunk or IBM QRadar
