As a Laravel & PHP Developer, you will play a vital role in our company's IT/Software department. Your primary role involves developing back-end services and managing the interchange of data between the server and users. You will be tasked with ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end, as well as creating server-side logic and maintaining our central database. You will be based in New York, United States.

Skills:

To successfully perform in this role, the following skills are essential:

• Proficient understanding of PHP and Laravel
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Strong grasp of server-side CSS preprocessors
• Understanding of 'session management' in a distributed server environment
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

  Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Proven software development experience in PHP
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, etc.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools, and developing web services
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay, etc.)

  Responsibilities:
• Develop, record, and maintain cutting-edge web-based PHP applications on the Laravel platform
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
• Document technical and functional specifications
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
