DescriptionHave a background in accounting? Interested in taking on a challenging Full Charge Bookkeeper role with opportunity for advancement? If you're comfortable with preparing and processing financial statements and accounts and managing all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions, you might be the Full Charge Bookkeeper Robert Half is looking for. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This is a great job opportunity as Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Brampton, Ontario.Major responsibilities Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions Maintaining historical records by filing documents Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepersRequirements Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Experience with payroll preferred Government Remittances experience Solid understanding of full charge bookkeeping Foundational knowledge in SAP GST experience Adeptness in payroll HST experience Can work independently with minimal supervision Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desired Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignmentsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
