Job Description

DescriptionThis is an onsite role - Downtown Toronto for a duration of 3 months. A banking financial institution is looking for a KYC analyst. Responsibilities include:Provide guidance to the business on day-to-day AML/ATF matters, based on regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards that supported due diligence, policy, governance, and testing. AML/ATF transaction monitoring event adjudication, and perform investigation independentlyConduct KYC on-boarding of customers, reviewing client documentation/information for sufficiency, accuracy and legitimacyConduct skilled AML research, risk assessments, reporting and/or analytical support in timely mannerAssist and partner in the development and implementation of appropriate AML/ATF processes, policies and controls. Support the facilitation of periodic AML/ATF risk and self-assessment activates for the overall framework. Present objective and independent opinions on the adequacy of AML/ATF and Sanction processes and controls. Serve as contact for business management, internal/external, dealing with non-routine informationRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in applicable field such as Finance, Risk Management or Law At least 3 years or more prior progressive experience in a financial institution or similar role, with exposure to AML compliance and KYC/KYC Onboarding A good understanding of regulatory requirement and legislation, including OSFI Guidelines, Proceed s of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, and Financial transactions report requirements. Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team and throughout the organization. A good understanding of Bank’s Compliance policies and procedures.Critical thinking and analytical skills with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvements Ability to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and use of platform designed by the organization.
