The Position - Operation and Technical LeaderYou will be part of the India Fire leadership team. You will get opportunity to interact and work closely with the Technical and Operations teams of various Fire Companies of Halma located in UK, Europe and USA. As part of the India leadership team, this position will:- lead the strategic transformation of the India Fire business into a full operating company.- lead operations team.- lead technical team – NPD and Manufacturing engineering.- work with your fellow functional area leaders to set the strategic direction for the company.Responsibilities 1. Develop and lead a team of up to 10 people across Operations and Technical.- Broadly, Operations function shall focus on the following areas:- Supply Chain - Focus on material cost, risk mitigation and delivery to customer.- Manufacturing – initial focus on assembly, testing & calibration; workforce engagement and Health and Safety.- Strategic sourcing - in-sourcing of components such PCBs, plastics, etc.- World class quality.- Continuous improvement.2. Technical function shall focus on following:- Technology transfer and adaptation.- Product & Manufacturing Engineering.3. New product development.Academic QualificationsMasters or bachelor’s degree in a Scientific or Engineering field. Work Experience of 12+ years overall.
