VelvetJobs launched its outplacement service marketed to companies at only $500 per person. The services offered by VelvetJobs include curated job matching, personalized resume writing, cover letter writing, career coaching, transition support, and interview preparation. It\u2019s a mix of high tech and high touch with innovations such as the one-click cloud-based resume builder.<\/p>\n

Outplacement services are expensive, so many companies can\u2019t afford them. The largest outplacement companies charge between $3K to $10K per person, and due to cost the services they provide are not marketed directly to consumers.<\/p>\n

VelvetJobs\u2019 founder Pavel Krapivin, a graduate of both Harvard Business School and MIT, previously served as Vice President of Warner Bros. Entertainment and was the co-founder of Doostang – an early LinkedIn competitor<\/p>\n
