Zinc has launched its blockchain-based hiring software to help tackle the inefficiencies associated with tech recruitment.<\/p>\n
Now available to the public, Zinc has been successfully tested in beta with customers including GoCardless and Booking.com.<\/p>\n
With a technical role in the UK taking on average 12 weeks to fill, Zinc aims to simplify, accelerate and reduce the cost of hiring by open sourcing the entire interview process.<\/p>\n
The Zinc ecosystem verifies a candidate\u2019s information on the blockchain and allows workers to securely store it in a distributed network.<\/p>\n
From there, recruiters can request access to a candidate\u2019s full and verified work history, aptitude and attitude reports on day one of the hiring journey, removing the need for tests and references to be retaken and collected time and time again.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith an estimated two million technology roles available at any time, and an increasing shift towards the gig economy, there is a dire need to speed things up,\u201d said Zinc CEO Luke Shipley.<\/p>\n
\u201cReferencing used to be the gold standard for recruiters but due to significant inefficiencies in the process, it has rapidly fallen out of favour.<\/p>\n
