Harrogate-based Next-Up, which helps people use their skills when they leave corporate life, has launched a job board with a difference.<\/p>\n

It showcases interesting projects that charities and businesses need help with, as well as trustee and non-executive director roles and wider ideas to use skills such as e-mentoring start-up businesses through Prince\u2019s Trust.<\/p>\n

An example is Eureka! The National Children\u2019s Museum which is due to launch a second, \u00a311m museum on the Wirral.<\/p>\n

They would like the help and wisdom of people with experience in local government, property, legal and more to guide them through the initial planning stages.<\/p>\n

Victoria Tomlinson, chief executive and founder of Next-Up, says: \u201cWe want to create a new market through this site. We have done considerable research with charities and not-for-profits and they would absolutely love to tap into the experience of this unretired market. But many struggle to find the right <\/p>\n

trustees and had not even thought of asking for help on projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cEqually, a number of unretired people have written to schools, councils, charities and more offering their skills and not even had a reply. They were offering help for free \u2013 they just want to feel useful and relevant. I hope we can bring these two together and really make more of this untapped resource.\u201d<\/p>\n

The job board is free both to post projects and jobs, and to access the opportunities.<\/p>\n
